Stunning article by Knight Ridder's Washington Bureau. It's taken Bush a week to get to New Orleans. Condi is New York shopping for shoes. And we have rapes and murders in lawless New Orleans; a sort of anarchy that makes Bagdhad look civilized by comparison.

There was a funny letter to the editor in the OC Register yesterday suggesting that New Orleans be bulldozed and rebuilt somewhere else. The writer was froim Laguna Canyon. Obviously, his house didn't go tumbling down the hill. By his logic, all of SoCal should relocate, because after all, we live near fault lines.
